Abbas is currently the Director of operations of the Agency where he oversees the Agency’s digital ID capturing operations; he is responsible for the planning, execution and management of the Agency’s IT projects and the implementation of the Agency’s digital ID roadmap.
Prior to joining the Agency, he worked in the federal public service & the private sectors as IT personnel in various supervisory capacities.

He holds a BSc in Computer Science from Ahmadu Bello University, an MSc in Computer and Network Security from Middlesex University, London
and an MRes in Computer Science from the University of Lincoln, United Kingdom. He has earned several IT certifications, and he is a member of the Computer Professionals (registration council) of Nigeria (CPN).
